A 5-star skilled nursing and long-term care facility located in the heart of Vincennes, Indiana. Nestled in a prime location, less than 1 mile from Good Samaritan Hospital and Highway 41, Gentle Care offers a home-like atmosphere to residents of Knox County and the surrounding areas. Gentle Care prides itself on the longevity, quality, and compassion of our staff, many of whom have been with the facility over 20 years. Boasting a therapy department that is the standard in the area for skilled rehab-to-home outcomes, the Gentle Care therapy team will provide top notch physical, occupational, and speech therapy services to our short-term and long-term residents up to 7 days a week. Gentle Care provides daily activities orchestrated by our excellent in-house activities team, as well as outside entertainment, such as musical performances and outings. Residents love the weekly beautician services, the beautiful, covered patio area, and the facility-provided transportation to and from medical appointments in the Care Strategies transport van. Our in-house medical staff, led by Dr. Hendrix, Jr. and Dr. Thompson, is attentive and available for all Gentle Care residents. Not only do we have our on-site medical team following our residents in the facility, but we also offer in-house podiatry, vision, dental, audiology, lab, and X-ray services.
